He is "defective data" (meaning he turned to our side) They need him erased...

Why would the ICPs be after you, Prankster? Did you do something you shouldn't have? It...it was during a viral attack on a hub. we were sent in to combat the rector scripts. we were scanning the area when i heard crying from a pile of rubble. it...it was a sub-program. her parent directories had been infected. against the orders of the kernal, i took her under my wing. a few cycles later, i was out in the street when i heard a news bulletin. the kernal had derezzed my sub-program. it took me ages to get over that, but i eventually computed that i should pay the kernel back. now we have both lost a sub-program. tha...that was one of the worst things i've ever done, and i'm not proud. now almost everywhere i go, i am being hunted by those minions of the kernal. i am never safe

*Gives Prankster a hug.* I'm really sorry. That sounds terrible...
And I thought I had it bad...

yes. and that's why the ICPs are always after me. the kernal's personal vendetta. anyway, let's put a stop to these "shadow ICPs"
*heads towards a data stream leading to the edge of the city*

"Right behind ya. Just because I don't like to play the hero doesn't mean I don't know how." He walks behind prankster with an evil grin on his face.

*steps out of the data stream at the edge of the city. it literally breaks away all in one line. the high-rise buildings just stop. beyond the edge of the city is a huge plain with lots of coloured lines leading off in different directions*
"we need to follow that line *points to a thin red line that is barely visible* many programs have tried to get to the ICP complex, but they ventured along the wrong paths and have never been seen since"

*Walks into the data stream, and comes out beside Prankster, looking at the thin line* Umm.....I can't see it very well....how are we going to follow it?

*Steps out of the data stream*
"I can see it, but not too well...being an ICP, I'd say we need to follow Prankster..."

yup. well i got a method that will take us through here a lot quicker.
*clicks his fingers, and his pet strider rises up out of the plain. he climbs up one of the legs then sits on top of it's head*
come on up! you get a great view from up here!

*Shudders. He's a bit uncomfortable about this Strider. And he's got good reason to, for this would be the way prankster beat the living pixels out him! He slowly climbs up and sits down* "Absolutely no comment..."

you sit on it, and it walks for you. simple. but you might want to hang on, though. *tori clings to the strider's shell. it squeals softly*

*Is still not very comfortable on this thing* you have a very good reason, but what you're sitting on is basically a living tank. and we, well, I am the driver, and you are passengers. anyway, off we go! *the strider squeals again, then lowers it's body so it's legs can stretch further, then starts walking at a faster speed than normal, following the red line as though it's as clear as the others* [OOC: due to lack of posts, i'm assuming finder is sitting up here as well]
